Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Ashtabula, Ohio. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage comprehensive bookkeeping tasks, including payroll, billing, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as proficiency with accounting software.

Responsibilities:

- Process in-house payroll for approximately 30 employees, including managing garnishments and deductions.

- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable operations with accuracy and timeliness.

- Generate financial statements and perform tasks related to general ledger management, including accruals and reconciliations.

- Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate.

- Utilize accounting software systems to maintain organized financial data and reports.

- Support billing processes, with training provided where necessary.

- Analyze cash flow and prepare annual budgets to assist in financial planning.

- Collaborate with external accounting firms for year-end tax filings.

- Maintain compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial efficiency and reporting. Requirements - Proven experience in payroll processing, including handling deductions and garnishments.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable operations.

- Familiarity with general ledger tasks, including financial statement creation and reconciliations.

- Proficiency in computerized accounting systems and software such as Great Plains and Microsoft Excel.

- Ability to analyze cash flow and prepare budgets effectively.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

- Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
