Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a minimum of 18 months of ICU experience, Epic proficiency, and an active Ohio or compact RN license for a night shift travel contract.

Job Details

• Community hospital ICU setting,

• Night shift schedule: 7p-7a, 3x12-hour shifts,

• Every other weekend and every other holiday required,

• Floating to Med/Surg may be required when ICU census is low,

• Patient ratio of 1:4,

• Epic EMR is required,

• Skills required include cardiovascular care, arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, ventilator management, PA/Swan-Ganz monitoring, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias,

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license currently in hand,

• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) required,

• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start,

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent ICU experience required,

• Charge nurse experience required,

• Epic EMR experience required,

• Two supervisory references (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in the ICU specialty required for consideration,

• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration,

• No open background cases; no license violations accepted,

• Teaching hospital experience preferred,

Additional Information

• Manages critically ill patients including those requiring ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and continuous IV sedation,
