Responsibilities
- Qualify nurses must possess critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
- One year of experience in infusion nursing and home health experience is preferred.
- Provide quality home care and infusions within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
- Administer specialty pharmacy infusion therapies and injectables to patients with rare, chronic, and acute diseases in the home setting, infusion suites, or physician office.
- Proficient in accessing and maintaining SPC/PIV/Midlines, CVAD (PICC/Implanted Ports), SCIG, phlebotomy and lab processing.
- Follow proper infection control measures.
- Coordinate planning for delivery of nursing care with the Director of Nursing and administer appropriate clinical decisions in patient care.
- Proactively update client/patients’ POC, health changes, and other related incidents.
- Demonstrate knowledge of age‑specific differences in the patient population, including physiological and developmental differences unique to each group.
- Ensure safe care to patients; adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards, including time management and supply management productivity to maintain quality of service.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned geographic region.
- Flexibility to work alternate shifts on short notice and be on call for field visits as determined by business needs.
- Administer CPR and other emergency procedures as necessary.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse through the State Board of Nursing is required.
- Home health experience preferred; ability to perform assessments, wound care, medication management, and infusions.
- Minimum of two years of medical surgical or critical care/ER experience is preferred.
- Minimum of one year of recent infusion experience is preferred.
- Proof of current PPD and current CPR‑hands‑on class required.
- Successful completion of the skills assessment specific to the areas of experience.
