Spa Attendant, Lodge Kohler

Opportunity

The primary function of the Spa Attendant is to support the support hospitality service standards and commitment to customer service.

FOCUS 1:
Support the cleanliness and maintenance of the Kohler Waters Spa facility

and equipment.

FOCUS 2:
Attend to food and beverage services and spa guest and member needs.

Spa Attendant I associates must have excellent working knowledge of all positions, services, products, operations, systems, and procedures within the spa/salon . He/she must also possess knowledge of the Kohler resort and surrounding Village of Kohler. As with all positions, the Spa Attendant will work with all other spa associates to ensure client comfort and satisfaction . Our goal is to exceed our client expectations .

FOCUS #1:
Operational Tasks:

  • Support Spa Attendant IV position.

  • Attend to women’s or men’s (same gender as associate) Respite Room to maintain order, cleanliness and amenities; replenish clean towel supply throughout the facility.

  • Perform rounds of the facility to ensure neatness and order.

  • Attend to the Reception Desk located in the lower level to accommodate client check-in for sandals, robes and lockers.

  • Understand basic RIO system operations for “view-only” purposes, thereby providing communication of service times and availability of services to guests .

  • Gather used linens from treatment rooms and assemble for pick-up by The American Club laundry staff; distribute clean linens to designated storage areas and/or treatment rooms.

  • Assist spa technicians with cleaning of baths between client treatments.

  • Support the maintenance staff with daily readings/testing of water in the Spa Relaxation Pool . Maintain neatness and order around the Spa Relaxation Pool lounge area.

  • Advise Spa Hostess on food and beverage replenishment during the day.

  • Assist Group Coordinator with setup tasks involving special group requirements . For example, setup of signage and message boards, etc.

  • Know and understand The American Club resort property and its businesses to provide information for guests.

  • Consistently maintain cleanliness of desk, reception area, retail centers, and if needed, flooring.

  • Keep spa technicians informed - do not assume ANYTHING!

  • Inform Supervisor if additional staff is needed.

  • Responsible for knowing and performing proper opening/closing procedures as related to this position (see opening and closing checklist of responsibilities).

  • Provide food and beverage support and delivery of lunches, as needed.

FOCUS #2:
Operational Tasks

  • Perform host/ hostessing tasks by escorting guests to respective areas within the spa.

  • Greet people immediately upon arrival and confirm and check in their appointments.

  • Answer questions about the spa and its services.

  • Be courteous, professional and friendly when interacting with clients and associates.

  • Resolve customer challenges . Assure guests you will do whatever you can to accommodate their needs.

  • Maintain professionalism at all times.

  • Learn the basic operations of the RIO system for “view-only” purposes, thereby providing communication of service times and availability of services to the guest .

  • Assist spa technicians with locating guests, giving messages or communicating guests needs.

  • Maintain neatness and order around the Spa Relaxation Pool lounge area.

  • Assist with setup of daily food and beverage amenities each day and their replenishment.
