Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing a critical role to the community in delivering a high degree of customer service within the Right of Way. The role provides enforcement, support, maintenance, and monitors roadway situations to ensure a high level of public safety while being responsive to public feedback. The City of Aspen parking department promotes teamwork and collaboration, as well as the ability to work independently.

The department is always looking for innovative ways to perform our duties and explore the next level technology to support our department. Cross collaboration with many other city departments, including Transportation, Engineering, Streets, Parks, Utilities, and the Aspen Police Department. Supervision Received: Position works under the general supervision of the Parking Operations Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

Daily Enforcement

• Enforces paid parking in Downtown Core (Mon-Sat, 10 a.m.
  
  -6 p.m.) and Residential Zones (Mon-Fri, 8 a.m.
  
  -5 p.m.), issues tags, and coordinates towing as needed.
• Identifies and reports fraudulent or altered parking permits and expired license plates.
• Monitors and enforces timed areas, event parking, and special locations such as Red Brick lot, ACRA parking lot, and Aspen Recreation Center. Schedules coverage for special events, including sports, concerts, and community activities.
• Participates in optional cross-training at Brush Creek Parking Kiosk and Rio Grande Parking Garage.
