Position Summary
Black Tie Ski Rentals is seeking outgoing and energetic individuals who share our love of the mountains. Our ideal candidates excel in a team environment, are self‑motivated and are passionate about providing impeccable customer service.
The Reservation Agent is the first point of contact for many of our guests and is a critical component of the Black Tie experience. The Reservation Agent is responsible for taking phone calls from customers, reserving rentals, organizing information critical to day‑to‑day operations, processing billing, updating databases, scheduling swap‑outs, monitoring inventory levels and clearly communicating with shift managers and delivery technicians.
Attention to detail is a must. As a representative of Black Tie Ski Rentals, your delivery of excellent customer service must be top‑notch and a friendly demeanor and disposition is required.
- Deliver and fit customers with ski/snowboard equipment at customer’s lodging.
- Provide clear communication to guests about Black Tie services and equipment.
- Answer phones and provide outstanding customer service, including taking new reservations, answering questions about Black Tie services and equipment, rescheduling deliveries, coordinating switch‑outs or returns.
- Collect and input customer information accurately and efficiently.
- Become proficient with Black Tie software (BTR) and update inventory and customer database as needed.
- Import and process online reservations, including credit card payments.
- In cooperation with Manager on Duty and Shift Leaders, schedule fittings and monitor deliveries.
- Generate Tour Operator and group reservations.
- Conduct regular billing and Tour Operator billing.
- Generate monthly commission reports.
- Perform entries with a high level of accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with Owner, Manager on Duty, Shift Leaders and Ski Technicians.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization at all Black Tie locations.
- Act as a respectful and professional representative of Black Tie within the community.
- Be proactive and take ownership of situations while anticipating and responding to guest needs and requests.
- Have a team‑player, self‑starting mentality and promote shared values with fellow employees.
- Support collection of positive Google Reviews.
- Additional duties/special projects as needed.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly for long periods of time.
- Ability to communicate clearly in the English language.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the winter season.
- Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge on equipment.
- Ski/Snowboard equipment experience is preferred, but not required.
- Hourly rate plus tips and bonus structure. Varies by location.
