Med/Peds or Family Medicine Hospitalist

Schedule:

8 shifts/month (24‑hour shifts)

Shift

Hours:

6 AM – 6 AM, typically worked in 3‑4 shift blocks

Team Model:
Work alongside a dedicated team including physicians and an APP (requires supervision)

Night Support:
Telehealth support considered; in‑person coverage for longer shift blocks

Requirement: BC Med/Peds or FM with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

• Level 1 Nursery:
  Well‑baby care
• Inpatient Pediatrics & Pediatric ICU
• Adult Med/Surg Inpatient Care
• ICU Rounding (Closed ICU model comparable to step‑down units in larger hospitals)
• No high‑risk deliveries; attendance required for unplanned C‑sections

• Daily Census: 8‑10 patients (expected to grow to 14‑15, max 20)
• Admissions per Day: 0‑3
• Urgent Consults per Day: 0‑5
