Seasonal Membership Assistant (Contract Position)
Pay $25.00 to $35.00 DOQ
General Overview:
This Seasonal Summer position plays a key role in expanding the museum's membership base, providing critical support in cultivating new business partnerships. This role will support the Development Team as a whole in membership initiatives. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and driven by opportunities to grow revenue streams that support the museum's mission.
- Membership Growth & Engagement
- Support Membership Initiatives:
Collaborate closely with the Development Officer to craft and implement strategies to grow and retain the museum's membership at various levels. - Outreach & Events:
Help ensuring a superior experience and seamless communication before, during, and after each event. - Annual Giving & Fundraising Materials
- Stewardship:
Work with the Development Officer to develop acknowledgment processes that build donor loyalty and communicate impact effectively. - Business Council Support
- Partnership Coordination:
Assist the membership team in identifying, prospecting, and onboarding new business partners to expand the museum's Business Council. - Council Engagement:
Collaborate on council events, communications, and benefit fulfillment, ensuring members of the Business Council remain engaged and informed. - Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Marketing Alignment:
Coordinate with the Marketing team to ensure membership and annual giving materials align with the museum's brand and messaging. - Event Coordination:
Work with internal teams executing membership activities, donor events, and corporate gatherings. - Continuous Improvement:
Provide feedback and suggestions to optimize membership.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree or working towards a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., marketing, communications, nonprofit management, arts administration) or equivalent experience. - Experience:
Some experience in fundraising, membership, or development support; museum or arts organization experience is a plus. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and donor database software (e.g., Blackbaud Altru). Skilled in PowerPoint/Keynote or design tools to create fundraising decks. - Communication:
Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to convey compelling value propositions and donor impact. - Detail-Oriented:
Demonstrated ability to track multiple projects, adhere to timelines, and maintain accurate records. - Collaboration & Initiative:
Strong team player who proactively seeks ways to support colleagues, streamline processes, and contribute to shared goals.
This full-time position is a contract seasonal position for the Summer, however this position may be extended into the fall/winter. Pay is between $25.00 to $35.00 per hour with no benefits.
Hours and Work ScheduleThis is a contract hourly position requiring availability generally from Monday through Friday, with weekend, evening, and holiday work.
LocationThis position is located in Aspen, Colorado.
