salary range: $45,000 – $60,000

the universal banking specialist i is a versatile, entry-to-intermediate level role that combines teller functions with new account services. This position focuses on delivering strong customer service, supporting daily branch operations, and building foundational banking knowledge. In this position, you will provide exceptional service to both business and personal clients, handling a variety of banking tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience.
Your role will be pivotal in supporting branch operations and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs
- provide quality customer service promptly and courteously at all times.
- determine customer needs, offer solutions, and engage in problem-solving.
- maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive customer and proprietary information.
- handle morning duties, including phone calls to customers regarding ach returns, non-post items, chargebacks, inactive/dormant accounts, red flags, vods, and account documentation.
- serve as the primary representative for online banking resets.
- open consumer accounts after completing the developmental training program.
- diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in person, over the phone, and via email efficiently and professionally.
- open all “walk-in” personal deposit accounts and assist customers with service inquiries.
- accurately process all teller transactions and ensure proper cash handling and balancing.
- investigate and resolve fraudulent debit card transactions, travel exceptions, and debit card requests.
- assist with domestic and international wire transfers and coordinate with the wire team.
- attend internal trainings including new accounts, risk management, deposit operations, security, and customer excellence.
- meet assigned performance goals (“rocks”).
