Hiring Range: $33.95/hour – $38.20/hour
Salary Range: $33.95/hour – $50.92/hour
Position Summary: Performs specialized, technical, and administrative duties within the City’s Human Resources Department, providing confidential support across functions including recruitment, data management, personnel actions, and workers’ compensation.
Supervision: Reports to the Deputy Director of HR.
Essential Job Functions- HRIS Administration: Process personnel transactions for hires, promotions, transfers, merit increases, terminations, and related changes in Oracle; track employee system transactions; manage performance reviews and related reporting; maintain HRIS with IT coordination; support monthly HR metrics and dashboards; back up onboarding and recruitment activities as needed; provide termination reports.
- Customer Service & Administration: Serve as point of contact for HR/risk management; perform complex administrative and confidential support; assist with policy, risk management, workers’ compensation, HRIS, and performance management questions; support unemployment claims with supervision.
- Risk Management & Safety: Initiate workers’ compensation claims, coordinate return-to-work and FMLA/ADA processes; coordinate property and casualty claim intake; assist with insurance certificates and quarterly drug screens.
- Budget: Review and approve invoices with the Administrative Specialist; back up purchasing requisitions.

- Education: Associate’s Degree required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred with coursework in HR management, IT, Business Administration, or related field. - Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible technical or administrative experience in a human resources department.
- Preferred Candidate: Proficiency in HRIS programs (Oracle preferred); public sector experience.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and general computer/online technology; ability to navigate web-based platforms.

Certifications:
Valid Colorado Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date.
