Performs various work responsibilities in the grooming and maintenance of the Aspen Snowmass Nordic Trail System.

Position works under the general supervision of the Nordic Coordinator.

• Assists in performing daily maintenance of Nordic trails and grooming equipment. Duties include safely operating a variety of medium and heavy machines including snowmobiles, snow cats, tractors, trucks and trailers, and other grooming equipment.
• Performs daily inspections of all equipment prior to use for fluid levels, tire pressure wear or other safety related factors.
• Update and maintain Nordic website with pertinent grooming information for trail users.
• Other duties may include shoveling snow, emptying and maintaining trash containers, picking up litter, repairing fences and trail signage.
• Fall setup and spring teardown of Nordic trail infrastructure.

• Responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Position will adhere to all safety policies of the City of Aspen while performing all duties assigned.
