Job DescriptionThe Snow making Manageris responsible for overseeing all aspects of snow making activities including managing the snow making team and safely operating snow making equipment on a regular basis.
This position reports to the Snow making Manager.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible forbonus.
Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
- Safely manage snow making crew including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Maintain all snow making equipment and machinery including compressors, pumps, control systems, and anything else associated with the snow making operation
- Advise and recommendpurchasingdecisions for equipment, capital investment,designand operation
- Help lead and direct the design, planning and installation of snow making expansion and repair projects
- Implement long term strategy for energy efficiency, reducing water consumption and minimizing snow making builds within the parameters of seasonal temperatures, operationdatesand event calendar
- Oversee and direct all summer maintenance projects
- Prepare and manage to annual budget
- Ensuretimelyandaccuratepay for all employees
- Maintain positive working relationship with all departments
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Ability to obtain ASC snowmobile license
- Must pass background and DMV check
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage and lead diverse teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Skills in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively, empowering teams whilemaintainingaccountability
- Cost Consciousness - works within approved budget; develops and implements cost saving measures; contributes to profits and revenue; conserves organizational resources
