Job DescriptionThe Snowmaker Basicisresponsible forensuringanexceptional guest experience by producing quality snow conditions across our resorts. The Snowmakerposition is weather‑dependent and supportsday‑to‑day operations,workingas part of a team to establish and maintain adequate snow coverageuntil conditions no longer require snow making efforts.
This position reports to the Snow making Manager.

- Operation of various snow making equipment includingshovels,guns, hoses, hydrants, etc. according to ASCservice andsafety standards
- Transportation of snow making equipment,includingdrivingvehicles including trucks, 4-wheelers, side‑by‑sidesandsnowmobiles onvariableterrain
- Developanunderstanding ofmountain layout and snowmobile routes
- Monitor quality of snowandmake adjustments as needed
- Recognize and communicate hazards within the snow making system
- Assist in maintenance and repair ofsnowmakingguns and snowmobiles
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass ASC and Colorado snowmobiletest
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to communicate, follow oral and written directions in English
- Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level preferred
- Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals
- Ability to remain focused, organized, flexible, and detail-oriented
- Follows all safety policies and procedures and exercises caution when working
Workenvironment and physical demands
- Ability toreach, crouch, kneel,stand, bendorbe on your feetfor extended periods of time
- Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elementsand may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
- Must be able tofrequencylift, push or pullup to50 lbs. individually or with assistance
