Job DescriptionThe Outpatient Clinics Float Nurse provides professional nursing care. The role includes performing administrative support functions in outpatient clinics. The nurse will work in various specialties including, but not limited to, Cardiology, Endocrinology, ENT, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Pain, Primary Care, and Rheumatology. Flexibility is essential as the nurse will float between all outpatient clinics.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing. Two years of PCU, ICU, or CCU experience is preferred. Two years of Emergency Department experience is also preferred. Certification in Trauma Nursing Core Course is preferred. Experience with electronic medical records systems is preferred. Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred.
Experience and LicensesMinimum 2 years of experience required
License:
Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Must-Have:
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) - Competent to provide care as the primary nurse working under minimal supervision
- Ability to float between all outpatient clinics
- Healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (8000 ft elevation)
