Overview
The Outpatient Clinics Float Nurse provides professional nursing care and performs administrative support functions in Aspen Valley Hospital outpatient clinics including, but not limited to, Cardiology, Endocrinology, ENT, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Pain, Primary Care, Rheumatology, After hours Care, and Snowmass Clinic. Must be competent to provide care as the primary nurse working under minimal supervision and will be expected to remain flexible to float between all outpatient clinics.
Minimum Qualifications- Outpatient Clinic Experience
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Bachelor's (BSN) or Master's (MSN) in Nursing preferred.
- 2 years of PCU/ICU/CCU experience preferred.
- 2 years of ED experience preferred.
- Emergency Nurses Association - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
- Experience with EPIC preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing. It is extremely expensive, especially in the winter. Please consider housing options in the surrounding towns:
Basalt, Carbondale, & Glenwood Springs. $3,500/month is common for a 1 apartment in Basalt. Travelers looking for a housing budget less than this should probably not be submitted.

- Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (8k elevation)
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
