Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Ensure the safety and well-being of mother and newborn while adhering to clinical protocols and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with obstetricians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families about labor, delivery procedures, and postpartum care.
• Document clinical observations, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Respond promptly to emergent situations, including neonatal resuscitation and fetal distress.

Qualifications:

• Hold an associate degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Possess an unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Colorado.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Complete Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certifications.
• Have at least 1 year of perinatal RN experience.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, EPIC experience, and bilingual in Spanish.
