Role Description The Area Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Aspen, CO. The Area Manager oversees multiple stores within the designated area, ensuring consistent execution of brand standards, exceptional client service, and achievement of sales and profitability goals. Daily responsibilities include coaching and supporting store leaders, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing merchandising, marketing, and client engagement initiatives. The role collaborates closely with corporate teams to align local strategies with company objectives, manage staffing needs, and maintain operational compliance.
The Area Manager also leads by example on the sales floor, fostering a positive, inclusive work environment and mentoring team members to grow their skills and careers.
Qualifications
- Leadership and people management skills, including team coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Retail operations and store management experience, including scheduling, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
- Sales, client relationship management, and customer service skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Business analysis and planning skills, including understanding KPIs, budgeting, and reporting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across locations and with corporate partners.
- Ability to travel within the area as needed, and to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Experience in luxury retail or beauty is highly beneficial; prior multi-store or multi-unit management experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic office and retail systems (POS, spreadsheets, email); familiarity with omni-channel retail is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced education in business, retail management, or a related field is a plus.
