Citadel Security USA is seeking dependable Event Security Officers to support a multi-day hospitality event in Aspen, Colorado. This position involves maintaining a safe and organized environment for guests, staff, vendors, and performers during large-scale event operations.
Officers assigned to this event will assist with access control, crowd management, foot patrols, and general venue security while delivering professional customer service throughout the assignment. The ideal candidate remains calm under pressure, communicates effectively with the public, and works well in active, fast‑paced environments.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor assigned sections of the event venue to help maintain safety and order
- Verify guest credentials, tickets, badges, or authorized access at designated entry points
- Conduct bag inspections and follow venue screening procedures when required
- Patrol event grounds, restricted areas, parking locations, entrances, and exits on foot
- Observe crowd activity and identify safety concerns, disturbances, or suspicious behavior
- Assist with directing pedestrian movement and managing crowd flow during peak activity
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, guest issues, medical situations, or policy violations
- Use professional communication and de‑escalation techniques when addressing conflicts
- Coordinate with event staff, emergency responders, and law enforcement when necessary
- Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and required documentation accurately
- Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the assignment
- Provide courteous assistance to guests, vendors, and staff members
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during long event shifts
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain alert and attentive in crowded environments
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned staging area
- Professional appearance and dependable attendance
- Ability to follow post instructions and site procedures consistently
- Previous experience in event security, hospitality, crowd management, or customer service
- Experience working concerts, festivals, sporting events, or large public gatherings
- Familiarity with incident reporting and emergency response procedures
- Ability to remain calm and professional during high‑traffic situations
- Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to lift or move up to 25–50 pounds when necessary
Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and event‑driven schedules - Ability to maintain awareness of surroundings using visual and auditory observation skills
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies or crowd‑related incidents
- Lodging accommodations are provided during the assignment

- This is a temporary event‑based assignment tied to scheduled event dates
- Officers must maintain professional conduct and appearance throughout the event
