Carpenter, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

CARPENTER:
Hansen Construction is seeking detail oriented, hardworking individuals with a passion for craftsmanship. Our core values are Excellence, Positivity, Passion, Professionalism, and Integrity. The employee will need experience in carpentry and layout.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team atmosphere are critical. Job duties include the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensuring jobsite safety.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Carpentry tasks associated with framing, blocking, and general construction needs.
• Assist superintendent with determining production and progress.
• Layout and quality control.
• Field dimensioning
• Perform craftwork along with crew.
• Verify that all tools and materials required are available and complete.
• Advise superintendent of equipment and material shortages.
• Ensure that completed work meets all relevant standards.
• Recommend work processes that will improve productivity and quality.
• Inspect completed work and initiate timely resolutions for any problems.

Experience :

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as a qualified tradesperson.
• Familiarity with other construction trades and crafts.
• Understanding of OSHA safety regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures.
• Current OSHA-30 Certification (or obtained within six months from date of hire).
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
