Sheet Metal Installer – High‑End Residential Construction
Location:
Aspen, Colorado
Join a skilled construction team working on high‑end residential new builds in Colorado mountain towns. You will install and fabricate tight, flat ductwork and air handlers in non‑occupied, new construction homes, ensuring high‑quality HVAC and sheet metal installations that meet project specifications and performance standards.
Responsibilities- Install sheet metal ductwork and components for high‑end residential new build projects in Colorado mountain towns.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to plan and execute accurate ductwork layouts.
- Install tight, flat ductwork and flat air handlers in ceilings, walls, and other confined spaces as required by the project design.
- Perform field fabrication of ductwork when needed, using appropriate sheet metal tools and techniques to meet custom requirements.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and secure sheet metal duct systems to ensure proper fit, alignment, and airflow.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, and installing ductwork and related components.
- Assist with general construction and installation tasks related to HVAC systems as needed to support project progress.
- Inspect completed installations to verify quality, functionality, and adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety procedures and site guidelines while working on active construction sites in mountain environments.
- At least 3 years of experience in sheet metal installation or closely related HVAC ductwork installation.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings.
- Hands‑on experience with sheet metal duct installation, including tight and flat ductwork configurations.
- Ability to perform sheet metal fabrication and field fabrication of ductwork as needed.
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in sheet metal and duct installation.
- Experience installing ductwork and air handlers in residential construction environments.
- Strong understanding of basic construction practices and job site safety requirements.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working on high‑end residential or custom home projects.
- Experience in HVAC installation or service in addition to sheet metal work.
- Ability to adapt to changing site conditions and project needs in various mountain town locations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality, clean installations.
- Reliable transportation to reach different job sites within Colorado mountain areas.

You will work both indoors and in partially enclosed structures, with exposure to typical construction site conditions such as noise, dust, and varying weather when moving between areas.
Hours generally follow standard construction schedules, with the potential for extended hours as project needs require. Attire is typical construction wear, including appropriate work clothing, sturdy work boots, and required personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves.
