The Maintenance Engineer I responds to and completes all general maintenance requests for room calls, public areas, meeting rooms, back of house, physical plant, and exterior areas of the property. This position reports to the Engineering Manager. Applications for this position will be accepted until June 14, 2026.

• Respond to and complete all general maintenance requests as needed including all areas inside and outside of the hotel & related properties.
• Help plan and coordinate projects during the off season.
• Perform safety inspections.
• Ensure all compliance standards are met including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and GHS (Global Harmonized System for chemicals).
• Identify process improvements and best practice.
• Monitor and maintain fire detection system and help with any emergency evacuation.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience in mechanical fields such as HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), electrical, and/or plumbing preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, mechanical repairs, and carpentry.
• Ability to work some weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in communicating clearly both verbally and in writing to team members and customers.
• Regularly work in adverse conditions and required to use protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces, individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50).
