Job Summary
The Payroll Accountant must have exceptional analytical skills, ability to solve complex problems independently, and ability to identify areas for continual improvement in payroll process. The Payroll Accountant reports directly to the Accounting Manager. The primary responsibility of this position is to prepare and process payroll in a timely and efficient manner while ensuring the accuracy of paychecks, quarterly IRS 941 and state filings, annual W‑2s, and all other payroll‑related reports.
Additional responsibilities include preparation of general‑ledger journal entries, detailed account analysis and reconciliations, and various other general accounting projects.

Payroll certification preferred / desired.
Education and/or ExperienceAssociate degree in accounting or equivalent education; two years previous experience in a payroll position.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA CompliancePosition involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
