Front Desk Receptionist / Billing & Bookkeeping Assistant

Clatsop Care Health & Rehabilitation Center in Astoria, OR is actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual for a full-time combined role as a Front Desk Receptionist and Billing & Bookkeeping Assistant. This unique position serves as the first point of contact for our clients and their loved ones while also providing crucial support to our finance department.

Responsibilities

As our Front Desk Receptionist and Billing Department Assistant, you are the welcoming face of our company. Your friendly and professional demeanor will create a great first impression as you greet visitors, residents, and vendors. You will manage the facility's main phone lines, check people in and out, and answer or refer all inquiries with excellent customer service. In addition to your front‑desk responsibilities, you will be an integral part of our Billing Department.

You will help ensure our financial records are accurate by supporting day‑to‑day accounting functions. Your keen attention to detail will be essential as you assist with tasks related to the business office such as mail processing, bank deposits, and census reports. You will keep your workspace clean and ensure efficient office operations by restocking supplies and proactively identifying other tasks that need to be done.

Qualifications
  • Exceptional people skills and a passion for customer service
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A high degree of attention to detail and dedication to accuracy
  • Previous office experience is ideal, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong aptitude for the role
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing is a plus, but not required
