POSITION OVERVIEW
Full‑time, on‑site Title Insurance Underwriter role based in Winston‑Salem, NC. The Title Insurance Underwriter will review title commitments and related documents to determine insurability of residential real estate transactions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Analyze property records.
- Resolve title defects.
- Interpret underwriting guidelines.
- Issue title insurance commitments and policies within delegated authority.
- Collaborate with attorneys and internal teams to address underwriting issues and provide clear guidance.
- Maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards and contribute to continuous process improvement and customer service excellence.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to review complex property records, identify title issues, and make sound risk‑based decisions.
- Knowledge of insurance concepts and practices, ideally with direct experience in title insurance or related property and casualty insurance fields.
- Underwriting experience, preferably in title insurance, with familiarity in applying underwriting guidelines to residential and commercial transactions.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, to work effectively with internal teams, customers, attorneys, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Prior experience in title, escrow, closing, or real estate law is strongly preferred.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with common office software and title/escrow systems; ability to learn company‑specific platforms and tools.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and inclusive, collaborative teamwork.
Compensation is based on education, training, specialty, experience, and location. The base salary (exempt) or hourly rate (non‑exempt) is one component of the total rewards package, which may include potential bonus or commission eligibility, medical/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, matching 401(k) plan, and matching employee stock purchase plan.
