Lead With Purpose. Partner for Impact. The Lighthouse for Kids is seeking a collaborative, and compassionate Executive Director to lead our Child Advocacy Center and work alongside an engaged Board of Directors to advance our mission of serving children and families throughout Clatsop County.

The Executive Director will provide thoughtful leadership while partnering closely with the Board of Directors to guide the organization’s strategic direction, strengthen financial sustainability, support an exceptional staff, and continue building trusted relationships throughout the community.

Founded in 1999, The Lighthouse for Kids provides coordinated, child-focused assessment and advocacy services for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Through collaboration with law enforcement, child welfare, healthcare providers, prosecutors, victim advocates, and mental health professionals, we help reduce trauma while promoting healing and hope for children and their families.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director serves as the organization’s leader, collaborator, and community ambassador.

Working in close partnership with the Board, this individual will help implement the organization’s strategic vision while overseeing daily operations, financial management, fundraising, program quality, and staff leadership. Success in this role depends on building strong relationships, encouraging open communication, and fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and teamwork.

The Executive Director will support and inform the Board’s governance responsibilities while ensuring the organization continues to grow in a thoughtful and sustainable way.

In partnership with the Board of Directors, staff, and community partners, you will:

• Implement the organization’s strategic priorities and support long-term planning.
• Foster a healthy, trauma-informed workplace culture where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered.
• Ensure sound financial stewardship through budgeting, grant management, audits, and fiscal oversight.
• Lead fundraising efforts by cultivating donors, securing grants, and strengthening community investment.
• Support and mentor staff while promoting professional development and organizational resilience.
• Maintain strong relationships with multidisciplinary partners, public agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
• Ensure compliance with National Children’s Alliance standards, HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
• Represent The Lighthouse for Kids throughout the community while serving as a trusted advocate for children and families.
• Provide regular communication and meaningful support to the Board of Directors, helping them fulfill their governance responsibilities through thoughtful planning, transparent reporting, and collaborative decision-making.
