Sign-On Bonus

The Nursing Supervisor’s role is a leadership position that supports senior leadership, staff, and patients by fostering a safe and healing environment and ensuring high quality care for our patients. Nursing Supervisors must model a passion for nursing and be able to identify and communicate barriers to the delivery of consistent, effective patient‑centered care. The ability to evaluate issues, identify trends, and solve problems independently and collaboratively with senior leadership is essential.

- A thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures, and skills in techniques of good patient care.
- Must be able to read and write English, as well as speak and understand English.
- RN currently licensed with the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- BLS through American Heart Association, ACLS, PALS and NRP required within six months of hire.
- Trauma Certification required within one year.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Five years in an acute care setting.
- Two years of supervisory experience required;
Critical Care or Emergency Department experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients, usually with assistance of co‑workers.
- Normal or corrected vision and hearing are required.
- Manual dexterity required to operate equipment.
- Occasional exposure to infectious diseases.
- Works inside; walking and standing for much of the shift.
- Long shifts necessary at times.
- Subject to physical and emotional stress within a fast‑paced environment.
- Pushes/pulls loaded adult stretchers, beds, wheelchairs, crash carts and equipment carts.
- Transfers patients to/from cars, stretchers, beds, chairs and ambulates as necessary.
- Tolerates bending, sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling for 8 hours.
- Lifts or carries up to 50 lbs.
