Residential HVAC Installer – Astoria, OR
P & L Johnson is a trusted HVAC company on the Oregon Coast with over 40 years of experience. We are looking for an experienced residential HVAC installer to join our installation team.

Responsibilities
- Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems including furnaces, heat pumps, ductless mini‑splits, ventilation systems, and related equipment
- Deliver clean, code‑compliant, high‑quality installations that reflect company standards
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and develop practical field solutions
- Interpret blueprints, layouts, and technical specifications
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, project managers, and team members
- Maintain accurate job documentation and material tracking
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, manufacturer specifications, and local building codes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience
- Experience installing heat pumps, gas furnaces, duct systems, and ventilation equipment
- Working knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical systems, gas piping, and tankless water heaters
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- EPA Certification required
- OSHA 10 Certification or NATE preferred
- Washington OS 6A license strongly preferred
- Light commercial installation experience is a plus
