Wage - $22.65 per hour

Schedule – Full Time, 8hr shifts, Monday – Friday

MTC is proud to operate the Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, OR where our staff provide quality services to our local youth. We value our professional and caring employees who are dedicated to improving people’s lives and we want YOU to join our team!

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for the student personnel functions, including the discipline and behavioral adjustment system and management of significant incidents, in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Functions
  • Assist in determining and administering disciplinary action for students who have violated rules and regulations. Maintain confidentially regarding negative incidents and student records.
  • Coordinate and monitor review boards as needed, assist with peer intervention records.
  • Counsel students when their behavior on or off-center is not appropriate.
  • Coordinate student personnel programs with other center staff and maintain documentation of records and reports on activities using CIS, as well as other systems of documentation.
  • Serve as student personnel officer in the officer's absence.
Education And Experience Requirements
  • Associate's degree and two (2) years related experience.
  • Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.
  • Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, organization & recordkeeping.
  • A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
