Freezer Worker

Ocean Beauty Seafoods is looking for a Freezer Worker in our Astoria Distribution location! This position maintains a clean and organized freezer. Picks correct product and fill orders, rotates inventory, and receives and stores product. Pay starting at $24.00 per hour depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Receives and stores product in freezer.

* Picks correct product and accurately fill orders for customers.

* Maintains an accurate and up-to-date freezer inventory and rotates product in freezer.

* Assists with daily inventory cycle counts.

* Maintains a clean and sanitary freezer and dock area.

* Operates forklift and pallet jack in a safe manner.

* Follows all company safety policies and procedures

* Responds to change productively and handle other duties as required

* Accurately completes all paperwork pertaining to shipping and receiving.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience.

* Minimum of two (2) years warehouse experience, and one (1) year experience operating a forklift.

* This position requires a self-starter with good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

* Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team and follow written and oral directions.

* Must have knowledge of inventory control and seafood species, trim, and cutting procedures.

* Must possess a good safety and driving record and have knowledge of forklift and pallet jack operations.
