- Knowledge of HIPAA policies and procedures
- Ability to lift and assist moving patients and provide necessary support
- Basic computer skills including typing and EMR usage
Description:

The physical therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve mobility, function, and strength.

The role requires maintaining and updating physical therapy skills and certifications as necessary.
You will evaluate and treat patients using established physical therapy protocols.
Utilize Electronic Medical Records to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries.
Guide and monitor patient care throughout treatment and follow-ups.
Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding patient care tasks.
Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care.
Manage accurate patient chart documentation and follow up on prescriptions and test results.
Ensure patient comfort and address any questions they may have.
Coordinate with the front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up.
Make independent decisions regarding patient care as needed.
Engage in business marketing and referral processes when necessary.
This position requires familiarity with PT billing policies for different types of insurance.
Proficient knowledge in diagnosis and coding for billing services is essential.
Maintain physical mobility to perform job duties, including lifting and assisting patients.
The work environment includes outpatient rehabilitation settings.
Expected to comply with privacy policies and maintain patient confidentiality.
Participate actively in workplace privacy training programs.
Physical demands include continual movement such as walking, sitting, standing, and lifting during working hours.
No travel is expected for this position.
