Advanced Field Service Engineer
Provide advanced technical support and expertise to our customers, performing maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, installation/commissioning, upgrades, and migration of complex Honeywell control systems (EXPERION PKS, TPS/TDC
300). Ensure timely validation of customer requests, maintain and improve customer relationships, and execute upgrade/migration plans while delivering fast, reliable service.
Report directly to the Field Service Manager and work from Houston, Texas on a remote schedule.
Responsibilities- Periodic communication with customers regarding technical and administrative issues.
- Provide customer support on Honeywell Control Systems and serve as the primary contact for service-related inquiries.
- Configure, maintain, and resolve Honeywell hardware and software issues (Experion PKS, LCN, TPS, etc.).
- Upgrade Experion software on live control systems without interrupting industrial processes.
- Migrate legacy Honeywell control systems to newer technology offerings.
- Understand customer key processes and economic drivers to identify business opportunities.
- Assist Sales during pursuit of new business and act as Honeywell’s representative to end‑users and competitors.
- Learn end‑to‑end product/solution development and delivery of Honeywell products.
- Use technical expertise of Honeywell solutions to improve customer experience.
- 5 or more years of proven experience in field service engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- At least one L4 certification in Experion or TPS.
- Experience with Experion PKS Hardware & Software, Hiway, TDC, TPS, LCN, UCN, and PC/Networking.
- 3rd Party controls experience.
- Networking and switch configuration knowledge.
- Project Management experience (budget control, schedules, resource allocation, reporting).
