Process Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and processing industry, is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team. As a Process Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, collaborative spirit, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Process Engineer

What's the Job?

• Oversee daily operations at the Atchison facility to ensure system performance, availability, and reliability targets are consistently met.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support to address operational issues promptly and effectively.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to promote consistent and efficient plant operations.
• Support the implementation of expense and capital projects, providing necessary technical documentation and oversight.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing tools such as Zero-Based Analysis (ZBA), GAP analysis, and time studies.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering or related field (required).
• 5+ years of ethanol plant experience with deep knowledge of milling, cooking, fermentation, distillation, and dryhouse operation process technologies.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with AutoCAD and SAP preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
