The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking an Early Childhood Group Leader Assistant/Attendant Care Worker to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. This position provides attendant care services to clientsparticipatingin the Center’sEarly Childhood program. Evenings Required (1+ days per week after 5 pm).

Competitive hourly rate of $20.28 to $22.76; depending upon qualifications.

Primary Duties

1. Provide Attendant Care services which

Assist with promoting successful groupand individual interactions among consumers

2. Encourage and support clients’ engagement inECPPactivities

3. Encourage and support clients’ efforts to effectively problem-solve and interact with others

4. Work respectfully and supportively with clients’ parents/caregivers, while observing appropriate boundaries

5. Transport clients to and from activities or appointments when necessaryor assigned and serve as attendant on assigned transportation routes

6. Facilitate/co-facilitate groups as assigned

7. Understand direct service requirements and efficiency goalsestablishedby TGC for the position, and achieve same

8.Provide documentation (clinical notes, reports, and other professional products) which complies with

TGC’s Quality Improvement standards and the requirements of all funding sources.

9.Be able to organize worktomeet direct service expectations and Center requirements

10. Adapt to changing work priorities and a fast-paced environment whilemaintainingprofessionalism

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION

High school graduate or GED required. Must have completed one year of college course

work inthe field of human services, or have one year of experience in the field of human

services, oroneyearcombination of education and work experience in the field of human

services

EXPERIENCE

Required:

atleast 6 months experience working with individuals in the community. Experience gained through practicum experience or volunteer work can be included.

Preferred: experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
