Material Handler Atchison KS

We are looking for a Material Handler to join our MGP team in Atchison, KS. As an Operator, you are responsible for managing equipment and conducting in‑plant testing on production samples to verify product is within established specifications.

• Learn to operate packaging equipment such as bag/box filler, bag sealer, box taper, check weigher, pallet stretch wrapper and other equipment post‑dryer.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks and document incoming and outgoing materials.
• Perform changeovers from different products and packaging efficiently.
• Perform sanitation during changeovers, including wet and dry cleaning, and allergen cleaning of all plant equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation level to meet BRC requirements.
• Enter required data on computers.
• Interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, operate in a team environment, work with minimal supervision, handle pressure of deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Operate in a safe, efficient and productive manner, wearing personal protective equipment and other safety equipment.
• Use basic math, writing and mechanical skills.
• Work overtime as required; shifts and days off subject to change.
• Perform other duties assigned by management as required.

• Ability to operate multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Maintain manual and automated records and communicate over a radio.

• Monitor and maintain equipment.
• Ability to handle hazardous chemicals such as alcohol, caustic, acids, etc.
