P&S Drying Operator

MGP Ingredients, Inc. produces flour, starch, protein, alcohol, and feed. The production plant operates 24 hours per day – 7 days per week. Operators handle raw material, process material, dry products and package product for shipment.

• 桧perating equipment within established limitations.
• 匹onducting in-plant testing on production samples to verify product is within established specification.
• 謬ake corrective actions if products are found out of specification.
• 筆eet sanitation requirements for assigned area.
• 筆eet lubrication requirements for assigned equipment.
• 菱ave a working knowledge of the MSDS program

• 柊bility to operate multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work under pressure of deadlines.
• 百trong verbal & written communication skills. Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions. Operators are required to maintain manual and automated records and must be able to communicate over a radio.
• 筆athematical skills required.
• 筆echanical skills required. Monitor and maintain equipment. Perform routine maintenance as needed. Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• 必nowledge of computers. Ability to enter required data on computers. Ability to operate computer controlled features in the plant.
• 柊bility to handle hazardous chemicals such as alcohol, caustic, acids, etc.
• 柊bility to climb and work in high places and/or from ladders, roofs, etc.
• 柊bility to work in confined spaces and dusty environments.
• 柊bility to work in temperature extremes, both hot and cold, not only due to weather, but also due to plant processes.
• 柊bility to obtain and maintain current license for trucks, bobcats and forklifts.
