RN Health Care Facility Surveyor
- Kansas (#1153)
Overview

Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to fill an opening with a Quality Improvement Consulting Company. The role supports internal and external customers nationwide in a technically engaging environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified health care facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations.
  • Prepare for surveys with off-site work, facility tours, observation of care, record reviews, and staff/family interviews; determine if care, treatment, and services meet Federal requirements.
  • Evaluate aspects of the facility system from quality of care to residents’/customers’ rights and physical environment.
  • Communicate non-compliance issues to key personnel during site reviews and exit conferences to ensure understanding of deficiencies cited.
  • Determine if a plan of correction is acceptable.
  • Conduct follow-up visits and monitoring surveys to verify that corrective actions have been implemented.
  • Assist with facility and bureau training; participate in work groups as needed.
Requirements
  • Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Must have completed CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
  • Must have at least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities serving residents of long-term care facilities.
  • Must maintain current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions to direct and effectively manage the survey process.
  • Ability to set priorities independently and collectively in performing survey tasks.
  • Ability to openly discuss conflicts and seek assistance when appropriate to resolve issues.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis is required.
