RN Health Care Facility Surveyor

Overview
Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to fill an opening with a Quality Improvement Consulting Company. The role supports internal and external customers nationwide in a technically engaging environment.
Responsibilities- Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified health care facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations.
- Prepare for surveys with off-site work, facility tours, observation of care, record reviews, and staff/family interviews; determine if care, treatment, and services meet Federal requirements.
- Evaluate aspects of the facility system from quality of care to residents’/customers’ rights and physical environment.
- Communicate non-compliance issues to key personnel during site reviews and exit conferences to ensure understanding of deficiencies cited.
- Determine if a plan of correction is acceptable.
- Conduct follow-up visits and monitoring surveys to verify that corrective actions have been implemented.
- Assist with facility and bureau training; participate in work groups as needed.
- Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Must have completed CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
- Must have at least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities serving residents of long-term care facilities.
- Must maintain current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions to direct and effectively manage the survey process.
- Ability to set priorities independently and collectively in performing survey tasks.
- Ability to openly discuss conflicts and seek assistance when appropriate to resolve issues.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis is required.
- Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year.
- Full-time position (Monday
