Location:
Jasper, Alberta
• Compensation: $18.00 per hour
• Status:
Permanent, Full-time
• Expected hours: no less than 30 per week
• Shift: 8-hour shifts; overtime as needed; weekends as needed. On-site staff accommodations are available (fully furnished, subsidized).
Jasper Athabasca Motor Hotel 1972 Ltd. is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant in Jasper, Alberta. The position is permanent, full-time, with a wage of $18.00 per hour. Expected hours are no less than 30 per week. Work location is in a rural area; subsidized fully furnished staff accommodations are available. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required.
Responsibilities- Clean bathrooms (bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters and floors).
- Strip and make beds; change bed linens.
- Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions; dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, windows, ledges and shelves.
- Vacuum rooms thoroughly; empty trash and recyclables; replenish amenities, linens, towels, and supplies in guest rooms.
- Sign for room keys, retrieve keys, push cart to assigned rooms; visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and appearance; identify maintenance needs.
- Handle and report lost and found items; attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
- Address guest complaints or concerns; ensure storage areas and public areas are clean and maintained.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned; be able to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, stand and walk for extended periods.
- Be self-starting, willing to pitch in and help coworkers; be a team player; stay highly organized and results-oriented in a multi-functional environment.
- Experience:
Housekeeping experience preferred (1 year). - Physical ability to perform duties (standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and walking for extended periods).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends; overtime as required.
- Strong service orientation and teamwork skills; detail-focused and organized.
