Responsibilities include:
teaching undergraduate and/or graduate Early Childhood Education and education courses in various formats; designing, developing, and delivering high-quality instruction and assessments; supporting student academic achievement and career readiness; supervising and mentoring teacher candidates; participating in curriculum development and continuous program improvement; contributing to accreditation activities; developing partnerships with school systems and community organizations; promoting candidate success on educator certification assessments; engaging in scholarship and professional development;
serving on university, college, and program committees; and collaborating with faculty and community stakeholders.
Qualifications required include a PhD or EdD in Early Childhood Education from an NCATE/CAEP accredited institution, at least three years of successful teaching experience in P-3 settings, and a commitment to diversity and a culturally responsive approach to teaching. Preferred qualifications include experience in early literacy, mathematics, STEM education, child development, inclusive practices, curriculum development, family engagement, assessment, and educational technology.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
