Charge Capture Specialist, Athens-Limestone, -1st Shift

The Charge Capture Specialist serves as the charge capture subject matter expert responsible for reviewing documentation and assigning appropriate charge capture and entering data/charges to include Emergency Department charges; ascertains the accuracy of the data/charges and communicates directly with physicians and their office staff to resolve claim edits such as failed medical necessity edits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three (3) years of experience in charge capture or medical coding.
• Coding Certification(s) preferred.
• Business or healthcare related degree preferred.
