Housekeeping Attendant

Help Create a Clean, Comfortable Home for Our Residents

At Athens Health and Rehabilitation, we believe a clean environment is essential to quality care. Our housekeeping team plays a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and home-like atmosphere where residents can heal, thrive, and feel comfortable every day.

We're looking for a dependable Housekeeping Attendant who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a positive resident experience.

Position Overview

Under established policies and procedures, the Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout assigned areas of the facility, ensuring a high standard of appearance and infection control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas according to daily, weekly, and monthly schedules
  • Use approved cleaning agents and equipment following proper procedures
  • Dust, damp wipe, wash, sanitize, and polish fixtures and furnishings as needed
  • Clean resident rooms including furniture, beds, bed frames, rails, nightstands, tables, chairs, shelves, light fixtures, TVs, radios, and door surfaces
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility
    • Qualifications:
  • Housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
  • Ability to perform essential job functions and meet physical and sensory requirements
