The Quality Assurance Inspector (2nd Shift) plays a critical role in ensuring that all manufactured products meet stringent quality standards before reaching customers. - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or inspection role.
- Basic knowledge of quality control principles and measurement techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment on a 2nd shift schedule.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (QMS).
- Proficiency with computerized inspection and reporting tools.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established quality standards and procedures.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
- Document inspection results accurately and communicate any non‑conformances or quality concerns to the production and quality management teams.
- Assist in root cause analysis and participate in corrective and preventive action processes to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment on the 2nd shift.
The required skills enable the inspector to accurately assess product quality by interpreting technical drawings and using precision measurement tools daily. Attention to detail is essential for identifying subtle defects that could impact product performance or safety.
