As our Lead & Internet Sales Coordinator in Athens, Alabama, you’re the first friendly contact for shoppers who reach out online or respond to advertising. You’ll help prospective customers at our 28 John Deere dealerships by answering questions and connecting them with their local contacts. This unique role combines customer engagement with digital operations. In addition to helping customers, you'll manage website pricing and promotions, support online equipment listings, assist with CRM and lead‑routing automation, and help improve the way our sales and marketing teams work together.
You’ll get a great blend of customer interaction and digital marketing operations, and you’ll work with the sales team across all 28 locations to help drive sales. You'll also get to learn about John Deere equipment, with a focus on mowers, Gators, used equipment, and homeowner tractors.
This is an hourly position, on-site at our Branch Support office in Athens, Alabama. Because our business has a busy spring selling season, there may be adjusted hours during the busiest months to work evenings and weekends remotely.
Responsibilities:- Respond quickly to new internet, phone, and chat leads and engage customers up front
- Make follow‑up attempts across phone, text, and email
- Work with customers to understand their equipment needs and ensure smooth handoffs to in‑store sales teams
- Update pricing, promotions, availability, and product information on
- Help maintain and improve lead routing using automation software
- Provide structured feedback on lead quality and customer behavior to improve sales and marketing processes
- Experience in inside sales, internet sales, customer service, and/or digital marketing
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some nights and Saturdays primarily in the spring season
- Proficiency in or willingness to learn CRM systems, automation systems, and product and inventory systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft office products such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across phone, text, and email
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
