Part Time Security Officer – Toyota Manufacturing Plant

$17.50 per hour.

Part‑time hours. Must be fully flexible and able to work any hours; weekend and holiday availability required.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Alabama, Inc., 1 Cotton valley Dr. NW, Toney, AL 35773.

Up to 30 hours per week. $100 Quarterly Perfect Attendance Bonus for officers who are available and present for every shift committed during the quarter.

• Vehicle/foot patrols to deter theft, vandalism, and suspicious activity.
• Gatehouse access control – greet and /guests, log vehicles, announce visitors.
• Front desk duties – customer service, access control, CCTV monitoring, package distribution, visitor announcements.

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests promptly and courteously.
• Manage guest/visitor access, eject trespassers or violators from premises when necessary.
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles.
• Document and maintain visitor logs and notify residents of arrivals.
• Assist in protecting all people and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior to prevent vandalism, theft or other criminal activity.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms.
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks.
• Warn violators of infractions such as loitering, smoking or possession of prohibited items.
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms or emergencies such as fire, injuries or unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders.
• Identify and report any safety, security breaches or unusual circumstances in a timely manner.
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports, documents).
• Enforce all rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state  license.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• Minimum one year of security experience.
• Must pass background and drug screening.
• Physical ability to crawl, crouch, climb stairs, kneel, run, sit, stand, stoop, and walk for extended periods.
