2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

Industrial Maintenance Technician Summary

Gregory Tube, located in Athens, AL, is seeking highly qualified candidates for Maintenance Technicians on afternoon shift. This is a salaried non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime.

The schedule is Monday through Friday with hours to be determined.

• Experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics is preferred.
• The ability to troubleshoot and repair 480 volts.
• 3 phase and control circuits.
• DC crane control knowledge.
• Read electrical schematics as well as light welding and burning experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of strut mill processes is an asset

• Minimum 3 years.

• Ability to locate an electrical issue, trouble shoot, diagnose, and repair any variety of electrical equipment or systems.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics to diagnose equipment issues.
• Ability to understand and interpret electrical drawings and wiring.
• Must have thorough working knowledge of the current version of the electrical code.
• Demonstrated experience using mathematics and standard electrical formulas.
• The ability to work well independently with a focus on getting things done right.
• Ability to multitask while staying organized.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
