Maintenance Technician

Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill a Maintenance Technician position for a manufacturing client in Athens, AL. This is a Temp/Contract job. Apply now!

Duties for this position include:

Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of plant equipment and facilities

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Repair machinery and equipment to minimize production downtime

Perform preventative maintenance, including inspecting motors, belts, and fluid levels

Diagnose malfunctions using testing equipment, schematics, and drawings

Dismantle and reassemble machines to replace defective parts

Plan and complete repair work using blueprints, manuals, and diagrams

Install and repair electrical components, wiring, piping, and machinery

Clean and lubricate machinery components such as shafts, bearings, and gears

Maintain HVAC systems and overall facility operations

Complete PMs and ensure all maintenance documentation is accurate

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation (USD):$20.00 - $40.00/hour Depending on Experience

Schedule:

1st Shift Monday - Friday7:00 a.m.

- 3:30 p.m.Overtime and on-call work may be required

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

Technical school training preferred7+ years of industrial maintenance experience (CNC environment required)
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and plant maintenance systems

Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams

Experience with CNC equipment and tooling

Forklift and aerial lift experience preferredPLC/automation experience a plus Fabrication and machining experience (manual mill/lathe) a plus Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods

Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments
