* Position Overview
**
We are seeking a detail oriented and motivated Tax Accountant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients across a wide range of industries, preparing tax returns and supporting ongoing accounting services. This is a fully in office position based in Athens, GA.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
- Stay current on federal and state tax regulations
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information and answer questions
- Reconcile accounts, assist with bookkeeping or financial statement preparation, and produce payroll taxes as needed
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and deliver excellent client service
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- 2+ years of public accounting or tax preparation experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Ultra Tax CS, Quick Books Online and ADP software systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
