Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of related experience
- Advanced administrative experience in a complex, fast‑paced environment
- Strong financial acumen with experience in reconciliation, billing, and fiscal compliance
- Demonstrated independent judgment and ability to prioritize competing demands
- High‑level written and verbal communication skills, including client‑facing correspondence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise‑level event and financial management systems
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments and stakeholders
This role provides advanced administrative, financial, and operational support for the Sales and Event Management (SEM) division of the Georgia Center. Serving as a central point of coordination, the position independently manages complex scheduling, fiscal processes, event data integrity, and conference execution support across multiple systems and stakeholders. The role exercises independent judgment, supports revenue‑generating events, and plays a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and high‑quality client experiences for Georgia Center events.
Key Responsibilities- Event Space & Resource Management – Independently manage facility and resource requests through enterprise event management software, including confirming space, resolving conflicts, coordinating changes, and ensuring accurate system records. Coordinate and resolve complex space scheduling issues, including high‑impact events, holidays, athletic weekends, and special institutional needs. (30% of time)
- Financial Administration – Manage divisional fiscal operations, including reconciliation of financial records, p‑card documentation, accounts payable requests, billing support, and post‑event financial closure. Ensure compliance with institutional policies while maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting. Manage departmental use, reporting, and documentation of a p‑card. Reconcile departmental accounts with review by SEM Director. (25% of time)
- Division Operations & Administrative Oversight – Oversee administrative operations for the SEM division, including calendar management, documentation, records management, office procurement, and coordination of internal meetings and site visits. Support department leaders with reporting, data quality control, and operational planning. Serve as a trusted operational resource for SEM leadership and cross‑functional partners. Advise SEM staff on all requests regarding travel, following GC and UGA policies.
