Schedule

Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am‑5:00pm.

  • Monday: 8:00am‑5:00pm
  • Wednesday: 8:00am‑5:00pm
  • Friday: 9:00am‑1:00pm

Applicants may customize hours to accommodate class schedules but must not exceed 20 hours per week.

Special Instructions to Applicants
  • Must be enrolled on at least a half‑time basis at the University of Georgia during fall or spring semesters (minimum six credit hours for undergraduate, five for graduate).
  • Must be in good standing with the Office of Student Conduct and University Housing, with no policy violations that would interfere with job duties.
  • Must not exceed 20 hours of work per week across all student staff positions, except when classes are not in session and prior permission is obtained.
  • May not exceed 6 consecutive hours of work per shift.
  • Student employees are considered temporary employees and may be separated at any time without notice or appeal.

    Duties / Responsibilities
    • Develop an extensive knowledge of maintenance‑related tasks and delegate these tasks to the appropriate staff member in a timely manner.
    • Have a solid understanding of the housing campus layout and property numbers.
    • Assist with administrative duties and create training material for Residential Program Services facilities staff.
    • Escort contractors and outside vendors to specific work areas and assist the work control manager and assistant with key control for contractors and vendors needing access to our buildings.
    • Create work orders in AIM.
    • Clean, wash, and maintain UGA vehicles and LSVs.
    • Perform other duties as needed.
