Position Summary

Located in Savannah, GA, this full‑time role supports the Marine Education Center, Aquarium, and Shellfish Research Lab. Key duties include coordinating admission desk and lobby operations for visitor experience, managing aquarium admissions, invoicing, record keeping, scheduling events, and supporting research and outreach programs. A P‑Card is required.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee admission desk and public lobby operations, ensuring excellent visitor services and managing aquarium admissions.
  • Invoicing and completing payment requests, record keeping, reporting, archiving, program registration, and purchasing through UGA systems.
  • Assist in coordinating visiting groups and public program/summer camp registration; support current research and outreach programs.
  • Assist with event scheduling using Destiny.
Physical Demands

Lift up to 40 lbs, work in inclement weather, office setting. Driving required.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of related administrative experience.
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional administrative experience (e.g., managing invoices, maintaining databases, scheduling events).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication, writing, public speaking, interpersonal, time‑management, and organizational skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ability to interact with diverse audiences.
Other Requirements

Ability to use a P‑Card, operate a vehicle, and access security systems; background check required.
