Industry and Alumni Relations Coordinator
Department: Franklin‑Deans Dev & Alumni
Position SummaryThis position provides comprehensive coordination and support for campus industry and alumni engagement initiatives, ensuring high‑quality experiences that strengthen relationships and advance development goals. The role serves as a point of contact for industry partners, manages inquiries, coordinates visits and events, and collaborates closely with faculty, staff, and development colleagues to facilitate meaningful engagement opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
Campus Industry Engagement Support
- Serve as a point of contact for industry partner inquiries ensuring timely and professional communication
- Partner with faculty, staff, and development colleagues to facilitate meaningful engagement opportunities (e.g., Employer of the Day, student networking events, industry lunch and learns, and other career‑readiness campus programming)
- Coordinate and execute campus visits and engagement activities – may include parking, meeting space, meeting materials, itineraries, briefings, catering, etc.
- Provide on‑site support to ensure successful execution of visits and events
- Provide engagement support and coordination for the Franklin Dean's Advisory Council (FDAC) with on‑campus industry and board member engagement
Percentage of time: 70%
Alumni Engagement Support- Partner with faculty, staff, and development colleagues to facilitate meaningful engagement opportunities (e.g., alumni panels, classroom speakers, etc.)
- Coordinate and execute alumni campus visits and engagement activities – may include parking, meeting space, meeting materials, catering, etc.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for college signature events (e.g., annual Alumni Awards and Donor Celebration) including but not limited to nomination processes, materials, guest lists, nametags, event collateral, registration processes, etc.
- Provide on‑site event and alumni engagement support, including setup, guest engagement, etc.
Percentage of time: 20%
Communications Coordination- Work closely with director of alumni relations and associate director of business engagement on marketing requests (e.g., promotional pieces, etc.)
- Develop appropriate signage for events (digital, directional, etc.)
- Work with outside vendors to process any orders and expenses, if needed
- Record engagement activity and maintain accurate and confidential records in GAIL, when needed.
Percentage of time: 10%
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe position requires a high degree of independence, confidentiality with sensitive data and prospect/financial information, and sound decision‑making.
